Pumpkin Patch Mini Sessions

Well now that Halloween and Thanksgiving have come and gone, I suppose it's time I post the photos from the pumpkin patch mini sessions - right?! ;)
Here is a collection of the adorable faces and families I had the privilege of capturing this October. Some were taken at Craven Farm in Snohomish, and the others were taken at Spooner Farms in Orting!
I love the diversity of the families that came out, from newborns to a baby on the way.
I can't wait to capture more fun memories next fall!

Green Smoothies

If you're like me...and basically every other American out there that celebrates Thanksgiving, then you definitely had your fair share of helpings last week! It's been almost a week and I STILL feel stuffed! But I'm going to blame that mostly on leftovers. ;)
To help me get back on track, I've decided to start a routine of prepping meals for my week, or in this case, most of the month!
Yesterday I made 20 Green Smoothie freezer packs to help me stay motivated this month with eating right. It's especially difficult during December when you are faced with temptation left and right!
The smoothies call for just 4 ingredients, so they're super easy to put together!

Here's what you'll need:
3 bunches of kale
20 Granny Smith Apples
20 Bananas
1 large container of Organic Spinach

Step 1: Wash and dry the kale
Chop into small pieces, you'll need a cup of kale per each bag.
I finally invested in a salad spinner, and let me tell you what - it's amazing! Wish I would have done so a long time ago!

Step 2: Prepare Granny Smith Apples and Bananas
I bought an apple cutter a while back when I realized how time consuming cutting up apples can be! This especially came in handy while having to cut up 20 apples.
For the bananas, I just chopped them up as usual so they'd fit in the back easier.
One banana and one apple per bag!

Last but not least, I added a handful of spinach to each bag.
And voila!
Now you have 20 packs of Green Smoothies to grab out of the freezer and add to your blender with 2 to 3 cups of water! You can add your favorite protein powder in the mix as well if you'd like.

Super adorable dog helpers are not necessary in order to create the green smoothie packs - but they sure do help make it more fun! ;)
